RANT: If You Think Your Camera / Gear Is Holding You Back, Look In The Mirror

This is a RANT that needed to happen. Far too many photographers think if they have the best gear in the world they will get great results.

The truth of the matter is you wont unless you have an understand of what you're doing. This isn't a knock on you if you're just starting out, it's a wake up call to let you know you need to educate and get better.

When I say NEW photographer im talking about someone who's been shooting for 5 or less years. That's a made up number as we never stop learning but it took me a decade or more of shooting to finally to a place where I had an actual clue.

I get asked all the time "What is the largest print I can make from my camera". You can make a BIG ASS PRINT from any camera if it's exposed well and a solid image.

The "5 Min Portrait" with the Nikon D1X proves that.
