Here we're demonstrating the Fujifilm X-T2's subject tracking. The camera is in Wide/Tracking mode with a manually-selected AF point (since Face Detection mode reverts to contrast detection AF).
Shot using the XF 16-55mm F2.8 OIS LM, you can see the camera takes some time to refocus, even in the reasonably well-lit indoor environment. However, the camera continues to recognize its subject even when another, closer object takes up its original position in the scene.
