In this photographers case he clearly loves photography and uses it as his hobby. But he did mention he would like to be a travel blogger and with that being said he needs to start becoming a travel blogger.

That means actually going places and telling the story and sharing it. It doesn't mean spend a ton of money going somewhere as I am sure he could find local places to cover. If you want something go out into the world and get it.
